The following items will all need to be submitted in our awesome client-file management tool called INTERVALS. RED will be sending you a username and password of which you can use to log-in and submit your files.
A . Log-in information
◊ Hosting Login (hosting account and/or Cpanel login)
◊ Current Website Login (if currently a WordPress site)
◊ FTP (if you have it)
B. Information Architecture
This can be as simple or as advanced as you like. Basically, we just need a list of all the pages you would like on the site and how you would like these categorized. (We understand some of this may change as we go along, but we need somewhere to start). If you want to type this out in a word document, simply use tabs to represent sub-pages.
C. Logos and Images
◊ Your Logo (PDF, EPS or high res JPEG if possible)
◊ Images or any new pictures you want to make sure are used on the new site
◊ Brand style guide or a list of the colors or any special graphics that are currently being used or which you would like to ensure are used.
In order to start designing the home-page and inner-pages, we need some information to style. What content and information do you want and on which pages do you want this content? You can relay this information to us by a simple Word document using the page titles as the headers and then listing out all the content you want on the page, or by creating a more advanced graphics outline.
2) THE DESIGN PROCESS
Now to the fun part! After we have received all the necessary information outlined in step 1, RED will use the information you sent us as well as all our notes from our client intake call/form to start building the first draft of your site. We’ve outlined this process in the 3 steps below:
RED will evaluate your goals as an organization and the demographics you are desiring to market to and will use this along with the details you described to us on your client intake form and the content provided in Step 1 above to build a first draft of the Home-Page and 1 Inner Page. Once this is complete, we will send this over to you to review.
Now it is time for your feedback. Are we headed in the right direction or are we completely off the mark? Once we have compiled your feedback and gotten clarity as to what you like and what you don’t like, we will update the home-page and inner-page styling and send over a finalized draft for you to approve. We will keep working on this design until we get it just right and exactly how you envisioned.
Once the home-page and inner page styling is approved, we will get to work styling the rest of the pages on site. Once the remaining inner pages are styled, we will send the site over to you for a final review.
3) WRAPPING UP & GOING LIVE
Once the full site design has been approved, RED will perform an extensive cross-browser check to ensure that your site looks great on all current platforms and devices.
Upon completion of the cross-browser check, all unnecessary plugins, pages, images and backend files will be removed and a caching plug-in will likely be installed to optimize page-load speed. The new site will then be backed up regularly and saved securely off-site should it need to be restored for any reason.
Your website logins and all credentials will be sent to you via Intervals ensuring the security of your passwords.
Upon completion, you’ll receive a link to our “moving forward” process where you’ll receive tips and tricks on marketing and maintaining your new website and also information on our Security Packages which we highly recommend for all our clients.
