Our project manager, Ben, recently found a fun way to encourage team spirit on a remote team.
He sent out a holiday surprise to each member of the team: a note of appreciation and a small gift. In these digital times, it’s always a pleasure to receive a physical note in the mail. And who doesn’t like surprise gifts? Ben chose to send his surprise for Halloween, because it’s his favorite holiday.
It takes organization and planning to carry out an idea like this, but such a thoughtful gesture is always appreciated and can go far in helping create a link between members of a remote team, who may have very few occasions to meet in person.
What other ideas have you seen or used to enhance your remote team’s culture and bond? Tell us in the comments!
