Where do you stand on the remote work question? Some companies embrace it, some shun it, some find themselves somewhere in between, with flexible schedules or a few work-from-home days a month. What are the benefits of remote work?
We at RED embrace remote work. One of the benefits of remote work is lower overhead, allowing us to keep our prices reasonable for our clients. Another is that it allows each of us to find a healthy work life balance. There are some challenges that go along with remote work, but we can meet up for retreats and spend quality time getting to know each other better and working on projects together, which enhances team cohesion even when we are back at home. With a remote-only office, communication is key, so we all improve our communication skills constantly.
Remote work also brings us new and different opportunities. We can hire the most qualified candidate for the position, no matter where he or she lives, so we can expand our team and our talents.
